Room to spread out. Families and small groups come here for the trails, the stars and the quiet.
The Talavera House is the second cabin on the farm. It has two bedrooms, two balconies, and hand-painted Talavera tiles that I carried back from the United States and used in the kitchen and the bathroom. The windows face the valley, there is a barbecue grill for meals cooked outside, and two baconies to enjoy the Andean views. It sleeps four.

Creation of Talavera House
Named for the tiles
The Talavera House is named for the hand-painted Talavera tiles I carried back from the United States over several trips. They line the kitchen and the bathroom, and they show up in small details you tend to notice on the second morning. The house was designed around the mountain views, with two balconies, two bedrooms and large windows facing the valley. Like every house here, it was raised by the community, including neighbors, friends and the carpenters of Cahuasquí, and it was finished slowly, piece by piece.
